Malta’s experience has come!
On July 18-20 I participated to Sliema Street Art Festival 2014. I was invited to the 2nd edition by Add More Colors. This year the event presented for the first time pavement art (we were 4 street painters) close to wall art. I met there many fantastic artists from alla over the world.
This was the promo video of the event. You can see there my green gipsy floating!

I worked 3 days on a 3D piece on the promenade in Sliema. It was really hot and I began very early in the morning to get a little shadow but finally I got it.
My piece was about 4 x 4 meters and the title was: “Big Brother continues to watch you”.
It was an ironic homage to George Orwell’s 1984. I love much that book and I think it continues to be actual.
My inspiration born from the face of the photographer Pierre Beteille and in particular from his self-portraits serie! Also I take the boy position from a photo of the artist Adrian Sommeling.
Maybe Orwell never could have imagined that security agencies would amass metadata on billions of our phone calls and 200 million of our text messages every day. Orwell could not have foreseen that governments would read the content of our emails, file transfers, and live chats from the social media we use. I can bet that Orwell will continue to turn in his grave for a long time to come.
