Vera is a friend of mine. She is a very shy person, but she is also a great artist, and with her works, she tries to create a personal language to speak with the world, and I think, to fight her bashfulness aswell. Vera in italian means true, authentic, genuine and she fits her name perfectly. She is a very funny girl. But her works are not so funny at all. I was looking for her dark side, that’s why I shot her while she was creating. I thank her so much to let me see a little of her inner light.
